These were distinct empires, with each of these empires living and peaking at different times and places. History: The Lincoln Assassination Conspiracy

On the evening of April 14, 1865, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in Washington DC by a confederate sympathizer named John Wilkes Booth. Booth was a famous actor and was also a secret agent for the Confederacy. Booth did not act alone and the conspiracy went much farther than most people realize.
